But James explains what happened to the baffled officials and assures them they don’t need to be afraid. The mayor calls for a parade to celebrate James, the bugs, and the giant peach. During the parade, James gives a little girl permission to eat some of the peach. Within minutes, hundreds of children flood the street to get a bite of the peach.
James obtains some magical crocodile tongues spiced with "the fingers of a young monkey, the gizzard of a pig, the beak of a parrot and three spoonfuls of sugar" spills them on the roots of a petrified peach tree. Soon, the tree grows a giant peach, and James discovers inside it six insects that become his family.

James and the Giant Peach is 10098 on the JustWatch Daily Streaming Charts today. The movie has moved up the charts by 5038 places since yesterday. In the United States, it is currently more popular than The Randall Scandal: Love, Loathing, and Vanderpump but less popular than Remembrance.

Life there is no fun, until James accidentally drops some magic crystals by the old peach tree and strange things start to happen.
