More. Review by Todd Gaines ★★ 2. Dreamcatcher had a lot of potential to be the next Scream or Urban Legend. Unfortunately, it gets so lost in its story, it never recovers. The film tries too hard to be something it isn’t. It should’ve been a badass slasher with a good cast. Instead, we get an art film disguised as a horror slasher.
