Case 39 bude určitě často porovnáván s Orphanem. Oproti němu je hororovější, béčkovější a celkově slabší. Problém je hlavně ten, že v Orphanovi byla sympatická Vera Farmiga a démonický objev Isabelle Fuhrman, zde je střídavě sympatická (a to jako fakt, moje sympatie k hrdince se měnily co pět minut) Renée Zellweger a vyloženě nepřesvědčivá Jodelle Ferland.
