WEITZ, Bruce 1943–PERSONALFull name, Bruce Peter Weitz; born May 27, 1943, in Norwalk, CT; son of Alvin Weitz (a liquor store owner) and Sybil Weitz Rubel (a homemaker); married second wife, Cecilia Hart (an actress), c. 1973 (some sources cite 1971; divorced, 1980).
Bruce Weitz played the unnamed but rather rabid Senate Majority Leader in Mandatory Minimums. He previously won an Emmy for his work on Hill Street Blues as Detective Mick Belker, an equally belligerent figure.

27 de ago. de 2022 · Bruce Weitz was born in Norwalk, Connecticut, USA, and worked as an actor and producer. However, before "Hill Street Blues," he was not well known in Hollywood and had only played doctors and accountants. After the series ended, he appeared in "Half Past Dead" and "Deep Impact," but that was as far as he went.
The compact, wiry Weitz also performed in 13 New York Shakespeare Festival productions from 1976-1980 but began making the transition from stage to TV at the end of the 70s, guest-starring on various series including "Quincy," "Kojak," "The White Shadow," "One Day at a Time" and "Lou Grant" while segueing to feature films in "The Private Files of J. Edgar Hoover" (1977).
