8 de sept. de 2010 · Jimmy Dawkins' infrequent albums are always a joy, and that was the case when he made his first sojourn to Europe in 1970 and recorded LPs for Black & Blue, Vogue, and Excello in France and England. This disc features eight numbers pairing Dawkins and the great Gatemouth Brown and another four matching him with equally sensational Otis Rush.

Jimmy Dawkins said he had performed with this (other under appreciated) musician they called "Gatemouth". It was during this Boise "tour" (I don't think there were 200 people in the club) that Jimmy Dawkins was promoting TRIBUTE TO ORANGE having returned to his personal archive collection after playing and recording in Toulouse, France with Gatemouth Brown, among others, in 1971.
