At the time Reuben entered the law school in 1903, the enrollment was 406 students. With a total enrollment of 5,352 students, Columbia was America’s second largest university, after Harvard.
The Law school is the first of our two professional schools. The founding dean of the law school was Rex Lee, our past university president. At one time, he was the Solicitor General of the United States and argued more than 60 cases before the Supreme Court. The law school was started in 1973 and is now ranked in the top 45 law schools nationally.
