5つ星のうち4.0 久し振りのWallflowersならではのバイヴ。 2021年12月23日に日本でレビュー済み 前作は、バンドが行き詰まって頭とアイデアで作ったアルバムだったので、全然バイヴが感じられず、ソロでは、以前ほどの音楽への思いが感じられず脱け殻っぽかったので、この復活は嬉しい限り。
That life’s work continues with Exit Wounds, the brand-new Wallflowers studio offering. The collection marks the first new Wallflowers material since Glad All Over. Exit Wounds, which, true to its title, is an ode to people – individual and collective – that have, to put it mildly, been through some stuff.
23 de jul. de 2021 · Album wise, its a fantastic Wallflowers album returning to form. A further merging of Wallflowers and Jakob's solo work as seen in spots on the previous "Glad All Over" album, but more natural flowing and less forced. "Move the River" and other Shelby Lynne backing vocal tracks are ranking as my favorite but I'm still taking the album in.
*** The Fun Facts: As to the album’s title, Dylan says, “I think everybody — no matter what side of the aisle you’re on — wherever we’re going to next, we’re all taking a lot of exit wounds with us. Nobody is the same as they were four years ago. That, to me, is what Exit Wounds signifies.” Review by Jenell Kesler
