28 de abr. de 2017 · The Creation was formed in 1966 from beat combo The Mark Four, and was quickly signed to a production deal with Shel Talmy, The Who’s producer. The first release was the urgent “Making Time”, which featured guitarist Eddie Phillips playing his guitar with a violin bow, two years before Jimmy Page started doing so.

20 de jul. de 2010 · It was London-born Eddie Phillips—a progressive, criminally underrated guitarist—who used the bow extensively on his cherry red Gibson ES-335. With his band the Creation, Phillips produced some of the coolest British freakbeat (a British musical style that paralleled American psychedelic music circa 1967) and art-rock records of the day.

Eddie Phillips (9 November 1911 in Bow, London – 2 March 1995 in London, England) was an English boxer. He was the youngest of five children. At the age of sixteen he became a charabanc driver taking visitors on day outings. He started boxing at the age of eighteen.
