The Danish National School of Performing Arts is currently in the process of developing a series of new master’s programmes planned to commence in the 2026/2027 academic year. These forthcoming programmes will be more closely aligned with the school's bachelor’s programmes and will be offered in Danish.

Located in the Christianshavn area of Copenhagen, the university has a highly selective entrance process that admits only a small percentage of qualified applicants to study for a period of three years tuition free in the university.
As of 2023, The Danish National School of Performing Arts will open a new campus in Holstebro. The Dance and Choreography programmes in Holstebro and Copenhagen share the curriculum but differ in the application.
Biography . Nikolaj William Coster-Waldau is a Danish actor and producer. He graduated from the Danish National School of Performing Arts in Copenhagen in 1993, and had his breakthrough role in Denmark with the film Nightwatch (1994).

The last category of individual project and context gathers several topics. The context studies introduce the student to neighbouring art forms and fields of knowledge that are relevant to the two main subjects of dance and choreography. This may include pedagogics, aesthetics, art history, stage technique, entrepreneurship, and pedagogy.
