Gospel: The announcement of the good news of Jesus’ work to restore sinful image-bearers to the rightful worship of God. Kingdom of God: The rule of God demonstrated on earth among a worshipping people. Idolatry: Worshipping as God anything other than God. Wrath: The just anger of a holy God toward sin.
Through Jesus, our God rescues us from the consequences of our sin. He provides what we cannot, and that’s why we sometimes refer to his provision as “the gospel of grace.”. Grace means “gift”—something given to those who cannot provide what they need— like a clean shirt given to those who have muddied their own.
