Kris Kross took some time off and returned in 1996 with Young, Rich and Dangerous, which featured the gold-selling rap ballad "Tonite's tha Night." On Jan. 9, 1995, Kris Kross dropped their album, Young, Rich & Dangerous. A follow-up to 1993's Da Bomb, and their 1992 debut, Totally Krossed Out, the album found the Atlanta duo—Chris Kelly ("Mac Daddy") and Chris Smith ("Daddy Mac")— continuing their attempts to shred kiddie image that previously defined them on their debut, just as they did with their sophomore effort Da Bomb.

Young, Rich & Dangerous is the third and final studio album by American hip hop duo Kris Kross. It was produced by Jermaine Dupri and released in 1996 by So So Def Recordings. Two hit singles were released from the album, "Tonite's tha Night" and "Live and Die for Hip-Hop". "Live and Die for Hip-Hop" featured Da Brat, Aaliyah, Jermaine Dupri and Mr. Black.
