Star Cops is ample proof if any were needed that good SF doesn't depend on special effects and alien-of-the-week makeup. This is easily the most intelligent SF drama I've seen (yes, even better than B5 and Doomwatch, which is something I never thought I'd say) and I'm delighted to find it on DVD now my tapes are getting a little battered.
