29 de ago. de 2017 · Widowmaker was formed in late 1975 by ex-Spooky Tooth and Mott The Hoople guitarist Luther Grosvenor, at the time known as Ariel Bender, as a means of recording songs he had written, something he had been unable to do since Mott The Hoople’s recordings were dominated by Ian Hunter penned tunes.
On 14 September 2000, Luther Grosvenor played a benefit concert for the family of Steve Dolan, who passed away in May from throat cancer. The show was held at the Marrs Bar in Worcester UK, and Luther closed the show with a 20 minute set. Luther Grosvenor is preparing to record a new solo album in June 2000, tentatively titled If You Dare.
