The John Thomas Dye School has given so much to me that it does not feel like a school anymore, but it seems to be much more than that. Although I have only been at JTD for two years the amount of gifts and feelings it has given me is no less than those who have been here for six or eight years.
Last year, the Annual Fund made up 11% of The John Thomas Dye School operating budget. Your gift to the Annual Fund allows us to: Recruit and retain our excellent faculty and staff. Enhance our academic and extra-curricular programs. Improve technology resources in the classroom. Maintain our grounds and continue to enhance our physical campus.

Elementary school is a very important time in a child’s life since it’s the first time children are learning to be students in a formal educational environment. They begin to develop relationships and understand how to collaborate and resolve conflicts.

My parents along with their parents went and I also attended the school as well. All of my 3 kids have gone there and the friends and memories they have made from their journey will forever be a part of their lives and my own.
But it wasn’t John Thomas Dye. When we began the search for a private school, we were very discriminating (if also naïve. Ok, that’s being kind. We were, as I’ve said in my previous post, idiots). We didn’t apply to ten schools, some of which were safety schools; we only applied to two. And one was, of course, John Thomas Dye.
