Jinny Osborn is an American artist who was born on April 25, 1927 in Seattle, Washington. She is best known for her abstract expressionist paintings, which often feature bold colors and geometric shapes. She has exhibited her work in galleries and museums throughout the United States and Europe.
The Chordettes. Soundtrack: Deadpool. Close harmony barbershop-style vocal quartet of the 1950s, noted for their folksy or swinging a capella renditions. Formed in 1946, their original line-up consisted of Jinny Osborn (1927-2003), Janet Ertel, Dorothy Schwartz and Carol Bushman (1927-2023). Later members included Lynn Evans, Margie Needham and Nancy Overton.

Other members of the group were, at various points, Carol Buschmann, Janet Ertel, Lynn Evans, Margie Needham, Jinny Osborn, Nancy Overton, and Alice Mae Spielvogel.

On July 1, 1953, Marjorie Needham joined the quartet by replacing its founding member, Jinny Osborn. In 1954, Needham, along with Carol Buschmann, Janet Ertel, and Lynn Evans, recorded what was to become a huge hit, “Mr. Sandman." It sold more than a million records and earned them a Gold Record and a Billboard Award.
At the same time he was talking with me, the Chordettes were on the other line calling from Pittsburgh where they were appearing in a nightclub. They were looking for a replacement (not just a temporary substitute as some uninformed people write) for their tenor and founder, Jinny Osborn Lockard who was going to have a baby.
