Maureen Tucker replaced original percussionist Angus MacLise in The Velvet Underground in 1965. Her primitive and minimalistic style is a contributory cause to their sound. Due to pregnancy, she wasn't in the band on Loaded and Live at Max's Kansas City.She was back in the Doug Yule-led permutation of the group, and stayed with them for a couple of years.
