1 de abr. de 2015 · The Past, the Present, the Future fits right in with the previous three Jodeci albums, and will certainly be responsible for at least some members of the next generation of R&B babies. But it’s also front-heavy, and ham-fisted in spots.
While The Past, The Present, The Future contains some references to the back catalog, as well as a pair of co-productions from Timbaland -- who got his start with Jodeci -- the album isn't overtly nostalgic. There are some uneven spots on The Past, The Present, The Future, but not nearly as much rust as one might expect from an outfit that’s hasn’t worked together for two decades. And I expect that the group’s many fans from the past will look past the project's weaker moments and will be be more than happy to welcome Jodeci back to the present.
