St Michael’s Grammar School is a progressive and inclusive coeducational Kindergarten to Year 12 school, centrally located in St Kilda, Melbourne. We warmly welcome applications from International Students from Preparatory to Year 11, who will be residing with a parent or a Department of Home Affairs-approved relative during their enrolment.
Since 2017, Michael Stimpson BSc MSc MA MA PGCE NPQH, previously head of St Bernard’s Catholic Grammar in Berkshire. Degree in natural science and teaching certificate from Durham; went straight into teaching physics and much later completed his master’s in astrophysics part-time through Queen Mary, University of London.
Architectus has designed a new K-Year 12 educational building for St Michael’s Grammar School, known as The Gipson Commons. Rising over three levels, The Gipson Commons includes spaces for knowledge, science, food technology and school café within an urban context of adjacent apartments, townhouses and individual residences amid a busy road.
Since 1895, St Michael’s has been nestled on the same single-campus site in cosmopolitan St Kilda.
