When the school opened that January of 1873, it had 6 day girls and 3 boarders. The families of whom had to have connections to St. Mary's church. Miss Richardson was the first head at the school and held the position for 3 years.

From M4 Westbound. Leave the M4 at junction 16 and at the roundabout take the second exit onto the A3102 towards Calne. Remain on the A3102 for 12 miles into Calne. At the roundabout junction with the A4, turn left on to Curzon Street. Continue for a further 0.5 miles and you will find us situated on the left hand side.
