Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry was formed in 1995 and is a combined entity of the London Hospital Medical College (the first school to be granted an official charter for medical teaching in 1785), and the Medical College of St Bartholomew’s Hospital (the oldest hospital in the UK founded in 1123) with Queen Mary University of London.
