Mitchell Lichtenstein is an American film director, producer, and screenwriter. He is best known for his 2007 film Teeth, which won the Sundance Film Festival's Special Jury Prize for "Original Vision". He has also directed the films Happy Tears (2009) and Angelica (2015). Lichtenstein was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and raised in New York City.
