The Mynah Birds was a Canadian R&B band formed in Toronto, Ontario, that was active from 1964 to 1967. Although the band never released an album, it is notable as featuring a number of musicians, such as Rick James and Neil Young, who went on to have successful careers in rock, folk rock and funk. Over its short lifespan, the group featured many members in its many different configurations.
The group, called the Mynah Birds, also included bassist Bruce Palmer, who, with Young, would go on to Buffalo Springfield shortly after the Mynah Birds split. It is difficult to determine exactly what the Mynah Birds might have sounded like, though, because although they did an album's worth of material for Motown, nothing from those sessions has ever been released.

9 de sept. de 2018 · "It's My Time" and "Go On and Cry" can be found on The Complete Motown Singles, Vol. 6: 1966; and "I Got You (In My Soul)" and "I'll Wait Forever" can be found on Motown Unreleased: 1966. It would be great if someone would collect all the Mynah Birds tracks and issue them in one set. Posted by AEC at 12:39 PM.

6 de dic. de 2021 · As regards the Mynah Birds "Go and Cry" & It's my Time" were both originally due to be issued on V.I.P 25033 but pulled and both then firstly issued on TCMS. Vol.6 1966 [2006]. Two further tracks were also issued & also scheduled for 1966 " I'll Wait Forever" & "I Got You In My Soul". Again neither were issued until 2016.
