2 de oct. de 2021 · Tributes have poured in for Liverpool musician Paul Pilnick who enjoyed success with famous band Stealers Wheel. Paul, who grew up in Granby, died on September 17 aged 80 after a short illness. He left behind his wife Yvonne, son Tony, step-daughter Charlotte and two grandchildren.

Paul Pilnick's early career was promoted and managed by Mr George Roberts whilst Paul worked as lead guitarist for the band, "Vince & the Volcanoes", led by Mr Vincent Tow/Ismail; (Vinnie was an early, informal & friend, guitar tutor to, Lennon & McCartney)
That lineup, however, lasted only a few months. By the time Stealers Wheel was signed to A&M later that year, Brown, Noakes, and Campbell were gone, replaced by guitarist Paul Pilnick, bassist Tony Williams, and drummer Rod Coombes (ex-Juicy Lucy and future Strawbs alumnus).
