The Doctor of Ministry is a three-year program structured as follows: Year 1 – Coursework. Year 2 – Coursework and mid-program evaluations. Year 3 – Candidacy including proposal and project development, project report, and defense Students may take a maximum of six years to complete the Doctor of Ministry degree.
A meeting was held in Chicago on December 26, 1853, at which a group of Methodist leaders invited John Dempster to organize the institute.
