Neol Edward Davies (born 26 April 1952) is an English musician, composer and original member and founder of 2 tone ska revival band the Selecter. Born in Coventry , [1] Davies wrote the instrumental tune "The Selecter" from which the band got their name in 1979.

Neol Davies. More images. Profile: Founder, guitarist and main songwriter of The Selecter during 1979-1981. In 1991 he reformed band with Pauline Black but left a year later. In the 90's he performed as Selecter Instrumental, worked on his first Blues orientated solo album and released it on his own label.
