Allen Ravenstine. New York, New York. Allen Ravenstine has been one of the most creative synthesizer players of the past 40+ years. He started out in the mid-70s experimenting with an EML 200 synthesizer, & soon after joined pioneering “avant garage” group Pere Ubu - bringing to the band’s sound unpredictable textures, effects, &; pulsating washes of sound.
When Pere Ubu appeared in 1975, punk barely existed in NY or the UK, much less in their native Cleveland.
