John Paul Jones (* 3. Januar 1946 in Sidcup, Kent; eigentlich John Richard Baldwin) ist bekannt als der Bassist der britischen Hard-Rock-Gruppe Led Zeppelin. Neben dem Bass spielte Jones dort auch Keyboards und Mandoline. Heute arbeitet er als Arrangeur und Musikproduzent.

John Paul Jones died in Paris in 1792 and buried in a local cemetery. His remains were exhumed in 1905 and returned to America aboard the USS Brooklyn escorted by three US Naval vessels. He was re-interned in a marble sarcophagus at the US Naval Academy Chapel in Annapolis, Maryland.
