referencing For Emma, Forever Ago (LP, Album, Reissue, Repress) CAD 2809 I've tried 3 copies of this. The first had a pressing defect, a loud pop for 5-6 at the end of the record, so I exchanged it and received a very warped one, exchanged that and received another very warped one.

For Emma, Forever Ago is one of few albums that absolutely destroys me on an emotional and visceral level, it's an incredibly personal and important album to me. What Bon Iver managed to do was create his own immersive little world, and the only thing that inhibits that world is the sound of loneliness, isolation and heartbreak.
12 de may. de 2008 · Bon Iver's vocals are some of the weirdest i heard, and in a good way...his voice can go from a very mellow tone, to quite a high tone for when he is try to put out some emphasis. The music is very folk like, and similar in that way to more known artists like Ray LaMontagne and Damien Rice - but has some electronic tones, similar to those of The xx.
