In the earlier Steve Hackett biography "Sketches of Hackett" by Alan Hewitt, not much info is given about Steve and Kim splitting up. In the 19th Chapter of the book, the divorce is covered mostly in this paragraph: "Sadly, his marital relationship saw Steve and his wife leading even more independent existences and they divorced in 2007.
