Hello. You just need to select the routers which have serial port in it. In packet tracer, there are two routers having serial ports by which you can connect Serial DTE and Serial DCE. The routers are: 819HGW and 819IOX. Hope it helps.

I have a Home Wireless router and the cable modem connected to each other (Select the copper straight-through cable in the device-selection box and attach it to the Internet interface of the wireless router and the Port 1 interface of the cable modem).

You should make all your selection on main PT logical topology pane. To remove or add an module to device, that device must be turned off.
