31 de ago. de 2022 · The Apache NetBeans 15 binary releases require JDK 11+, and officially support running on JDK 11 and JDK 17. The current JDKs have an issue on macOS Big Sur, that causes freezes on dialogs. That could be fixed by applying the workaround described at NETBEANS-5037 .

The Apache NetBeans Platform is a generic framework for Swing applications. It provides the "plumbing" that, before, every developer had to write themselves—saving state, connecting actions to menu items, toolbar items and keyboard shortcuts; window management, and so on. The NetBeans Platform provides all of these out of the box.

In the New Project wizard, select Java Application, as shown in the figure below. Then click Next. The first time you create a new Java project, you will be prompted to download and enable support for Java.
