Tisch Drama's Meisner Studio offers intensive training in acting, movement, voice & speech and the various related essential disciplines. The structure of the studio reflects traditional conservatory training: each section of 16-18 actors trains together throughout the two years of primary training. The actors train from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., five days a week. The training is divided into three disciplines: acting; voice, speech, and text; and movement. There are often four or five different classes a day, arranged so that the work in one complements the work in another and also so the student has a balance of these disciplines.
Our Online Acting Program offers month-long virtual classes, designed for students 18 and over looking to start or continue their Method Acting journey. Sample Schedule for Summer High School Drama Program. Classes take place Monday to Friday. Studio workshops, during which each studio interacts collaboratively, typically take place every Tuesday and Thursday evening. Additionally, weekly evening curricular events are required. Studio classes include Acting, Movement, Voice and Speech.
You will reserve either a morning or afternoon session for your artistic review. You should expect to be with us for the entire session. Sessions are approximately 3.5 hours. All candidates arrive at the same time to check in. For the most part, check-in for morning sessions begins at 9:00 and afternoon sessions at 2:00.
