The person I was responding to implied that because of Langan's supposed high IQ (which I'm assuming he learned this from Wikipedia, and if you follow the sources on Langan's wiki page, you'll find that the supposed "source" is a copy-paste of an article on a message board), Langan's 'philosophy' might have been worth studying.
