2 de jun. de 2020 · If you had this subclass, you can turn that 1 into a 10. As a Bard, a 10 gets you through a lot of skill checks. With Expertise, that 10 is at minimum a 14 – though it should be a 17! – which is not bad at all. At level 20, you’ll likely be minimum-rolling a 29, which will enchant the hearts of even the coldest of ice elementals.

Eloquence bards have earned a somewhat notorious reputation, namely for how utterly busted their Silver Tongue feature can feel to DM for. Charisma-based social encounters become cakewalks for them, with little to no chances of failure, and personally, I adore that.
Meanwhile, again, the eloquence bard is boned. And, again, with average rolls, the eloquence bard has a 28, and the lore bard can achieve a 40. And with peak rolls, an eloquence bard gets a 37, and the lore bard functionally achieves a 51. The eloquence bard's save debuff is incredible at low levels, and scales down a bit as they grow.

18 de nov. de 2020 · Lore and Eloquence is the two Bard subclasses that is hard to multi-class with because they get their key stuff early on or things that define them. Lore gets Magical Secrets and Eloquence gets unfailing Inspiration. One turning a Bard into a wild card powerhouse and the other the best support in the game.
