I think the void was generated because the creators of gumball, like the gods of the world, then they deleted whatever object they thought was useless or ridiculous, and the only way to enter the void is trough errors in the universe or using the remote, which makes sense because the show is a “tv” show. Bittersweet Ending: Gumball, Darwin, and Mr. Small successfully save Molly from the Void. However, just as they plan to tell everyone else about the Void, it sucks their tinfoil hats in, causing them to forget about it. And as revealed later on, they ignored and forgot about Rob in the process, which led him to become a villain instead.
