Instead, you have no idea what’s going on. You’re not yet deemed worthy of a yes, but also not a hard no. You are somewhere in the middle, and that’s super annoying.
Even though the university is widely known for having the highest acceptance rate in the Ivy League, its admissions standards are no less demanding. Of the 67,380 students who applied to Cornell’s Class of 2025, just 8.7% were admitted, and those that did gain entry displayed astonishing accomplishments in their High School careers.

These days, most college acceptance letters will arrive as either an email or application status update on a college's own application portal.

Letters of recommendation should be from college/university faculty and/or advisors. Letter writers can email their materials to applicant@cornell.edu or you can upload the file(s) as supplemental information via the application portal.
