To change how icons and notifications appear. Press and hold or right-click any empty space on the taskbar and select Taskbar settings. Under Taskbar corner icons: Select On for any icons you want to see on the taskbar. Select Off for any icons you don’t want to see on the taskbar.

On the right, click on the link "Turn system icons on or off" under Notification area. On the next page, enable or disable the system icons you need to show or hide. Something else you can do related to these taskbar icons is force them to always show, but the option to do that isn't available in Settings.
