The Bath School of Art and Design was originally established in 1852 as the Bath School of Art, and is now an integral part of Bath Spa University, a leading educational institution in creativity, culture and enterprise.

Bath Spa University purchased the building in 2016, by which time it was Grade II-listed, in order to relocate the Bath School of Art and Design. The re-purposing builds on the original design ethos: allowing for the ongoing flexibility of the building, it will continue to adapt to the changing needs of the building users and engage with the wider community.
During the University phase of your studies, you’ll use dedicated art and design spaces at Bath Spa for workshops and seminars. You'll share as well as develop subject knowledge and skills (which may include 2D work, sculptural techniques, ceramics, printmaking, textiles, photography and multimedia).
