If anything, her live version was even better, and not just better than the recorded version, but better than Roxy Music’s lackluster take on their original in Chicago.

What I heard all these years later was a little more interesting than I was expecting up front. All of the songs here were written by Bruce Woolley [“Slave To The Rhythm”] and Ms. Jones.
