Irish Tour '74 is a film directed by Tony Palmer. It documents Rory Gallagher's tour of Ireland in 1974. Gallagher toured at a time of great political turmoil and violence. Gallagher's band at the time was Gerry McAvoy on bass guitar, Lou Martin on keyboards and Rod de'Ath on drums.

12 de abr. de 2011 · Have a BD of this but it quit loading and playing on 3 different machines for some reason so I had to get this DVD. Irish Tour 74 was first RG album I ever owned. Not the best sound, picture or composition but it's still pretty good. More finger work needed and less face. Most under appreciated and under rated guitarist of all time. Tragic figure.

The late blues rocker has his Irish Tour ’74 double album (originally issued in 1974) expanded massively, with an enormous amount of previously unreleased material across seven CDs including dates in Belfast and Dublin. A bonus DVD (NTSC, region free) features the Tony Palmer directed documentary Irish Tour ’74.
