Muff Winwood. Mervyn Winwood, detto Muff ( Erdington, 15 giugno 1943 ), è un compositore, bassista e produttore discografico britannico, componente dello Spencer Davis Group insieme al fratello minore Steve . È inoltre conosciuto per aver prodotto l' album d'esordio dei Dire Straits nel 1978 .
Muff Winwood said; "Somebody from America bought me a fuzzbox called 'The Big Muff' because of my name! so we tried it on the record to get that sound on the opening riff". The Spencer Davis Group's first LP was soon recorded and rushed into the shops along with a hectic schedule of radio and TV appearances that followed.

Mervyn «Muff» Winwood (fødd 15. juni 1943 i Erdington i Birmingham) er ein engelsk låtskrivar og plateprodusent, og den eldre broren til Steve Winwood. Begge spelte tidlegare i Spencer Davis Group i 1960-åra, der Muff Winwood spelte bassgitar.
