John Maxwell Coetzee [kut'si:], eller J.M. Coetzee, ursprungligen John Michael Coetzee, född 9 februari 1940 i Kapstaden, är en sydafrikansk författare, översättare och litteraturkritiker, numera bosatt i Australien.Han mottog Nobelpriset i litteratur år 2003 med Svenska Akademiens prismotivering att han "i talrika förklädnader framställer utanförskapets överrumplande delaktighet".
