Salvador Roman Hidalgo Laurel[4] , also known as Doy Laurel, was a Filipino lawyer and politician. He was Vice President of the Philippines from 1986 to 1992 under President Corazon Aquino and was Prime Minister from 25 February to 25 March 1986.
Salvador "Doy" Laurel is the 8th vice president of the Philippines with Cory Aquino after the People Power Revolution. During the interim goverment he was the Prime Minister before the Freedom Constitution. Prior to this position, he was also a senator. His father is Jose P. Laurel who served as president during the Japanese occupation.
