After recording the first Art Bears LP – which started out as a Henry Cow LP until the band decided not to release it, we decided to stop Henry Cow – but tour for another 8 months, to say goodbye to all the people who’d supported us over the years. Breaking up was a bit like being born again.
The duo Steve MacLean/Chris Cutler recorded The Year of the Dragon (ReR, 2012). The Way It Was: Live Recordings And Studio Sketches 1985-92 (ReR, 2012) collewcts Cassiber's archival material.
