About Pigbag. Formed with free-form, no-rules intentions, UK avant-post-punkers Pigbag eventually suffered under the weight of their own ambition. Formed in 1980 by fashion student Chris Hamlin, he would soon add multi-instrumentalist Roger Freeman, guitarist/saxophonist James Johnstone, drummer Andrew Carpenter, and bassist Mark Smith.
