Sam & Dave were renowned for their exciting stage performance. In the late 1970's Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi would be very much inspired by that stage performance when they did their The Blues Brothers act. Sam & Dave disbanded in 1971, but reunited shortly several times during the 1970's and 1980's.
Off the debut LP from Sam Moore and Dave Prater, released in 1966 and also called Hold On, I’m Comin’, this song rose to #21. “Hold On” was released on the Memphis-based Stax label.
