"Poor Cow" is patterned after "Darling" in a way. Its producer, Joseph Janni, also produced that one, and its star, Carol White, looks enough like Julie Christie to be her twin sister (the one who couldn't act). Poor Cow is perhaps now more famous for being the film responsible for the flashback scenes in Steven Soderbergh's The Limey, but to know it only for that would be to do a great film a disservice.
