Sir André Previn (egentlig Andreas Ludwig Priwin, født 6. april 1929 eller 1930, død 28. februar 2019) var en kendt pianist, komponist og dirigent. Previn selv var usikker på, hvornår han blev født, da hans fødselsattest er gået tabt.
André Previn was born as Andreas Ludwig Priwin to a Jewish family in Berlin, Germany. He may have been born in 1930, but cannot be sure as his birth certificate was lost when he emigrated to the United States with his family in 1939 to escape the Nazis. He became a naturalized citizen of the United States in 1943.
Composer, conductor, and pianist André Previn left his native Germany in 1938 to live in Paris and subsequently to settle in Los Angeles in 1940. His early career orchestrating film scores at MGM led quickly to conducting engagements of symphonic repertoire and on to an international career as Music Director of orchestras in London, Los Angeles, Oslo, and Pittsburgh.
