Yet unlike some of his spooky cousins working across the pond, such as Vincent Price and Boris Karloff, he managed to sidestep the burden of typecasting. He portrayed heroes and villains with equal skill.

Występował w filmach brytyjskiej wytwórni Hammer Film Productions, głównie horrorach o Draculi i Frankensteinie oraz jako Wielki Moff Tarkin w filmie Gwiezdne wojny: część IV – Nowa nadzieja (1977).
Peter Cushing, född 26 maj 1913 i Kenley i Croydon i London, död 11 augusti 1994 i Canterbury i Kent, var en brittisk skådespelare. Cushing scendebuterade 1935, efter utbildning vid Guildhall School of Music and Drama i London, kom sedan till USA där han framträdde på Broadway och hade biroller i flera Hollywoodfilmer.
