Last original General Hospital cast member, John Beradino, dead at 79 LOS ANGELES, May 20 (UPI) -- Actor John Beradino, who played the patriarchal Dr. Steve Hardy on daytime drama ``General Hospital'' for more than 30 years, has died at his home after a long illness, ABC television announced Monday.
